I was tasked with creating assets for the launch and first phase of our All-Star Campaign this year.
Objective: The 2021 edition of the San Diego Padres presented the team and myself with a unique (but positive) challenge of having several players be in consideration for an All-Star nomination.
Solution: Through several brainstorms and iterations I came up with a series of assets that incorporate our 8 candidates in the forefront in a way that breaks away from the ongoing art direction for the season, while keeping in line with our branding that is unique to the San Diego Padres.
I was approached by the Northwestern College Athletic department to produce social media, web, marketing and print assets along with templates for in-house use for their 2020-2021 athletic campaigns that they were able to navigate during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Utilizing their recently installed branding / identity system I decided to lean into and use their bold colors to help create a consistent look across all items.
Entering my 4th season with the California Baptist University athletics department I challenged myself to provide a look that was seamless across all sports but also scalable and easy to use for the in-house personnel that would be in charge of changing these out on a day to day basis.
In addition to providing the creative, I was also brought in to capture the media day photography for both the men and women’s basketball teams.
